For Nannies

The best placements are the ones that feel right for everyone.

Finding the right family is about more than matching availability. It's about finding a home where you feel comfortable, appreciated, and able to do what you do best.

That's why every introduction is made with care and genuine consideration for both the nanny and the family.

Someone In Your Corner

We're there through the interview, the trial and the first few weeks. For you, not only for the family.

Genuine Matches

We put you forward because we think you and a family would suit each other, not because the dates happen to line up.

Your Rate, Your Call

You tell us what you charge and what you're comfortable with. We match on it rather than talking you down.

A Real Conversation

We want to know your experience, your strengths and the kind of family you'd thrive with, not just which days you're free.

Why ByMeg

What working with us is like

From nanny to another

I've done this job.

Ten years of early starts, school runs, sick days and bedtime negotiations. I know what a good family feels like, and I know exactly what it's like when a role isn't right and you're not sure how to say so.

That's why ByMeg asks you as many questions as it asks them.

Meg x
Hands-on experience

Professional nannying, early childhood, or equivalent experience a family can rely on.

Blue Card / WWCC

Current, or in progress. We will point you to the application if you need it.

First Aid and CPR

Current certification. If yours has lapsed, renew it before you apply.

National Police Check

Part of our standard screening, the same as for every carer.

Driver's Licence

Not needed for every role, but it opens up considerably more of them.

Two References

Previous families we can genuinely speak to, not just letters.

Right to Work

Citizenship, residency, or a visa that allows the hours you are after.

Reliability

The thing families ask about most, and the one thing that cannot be certified.

Trial and placement

A paid trial shift lets you both find out whether it works. If it does, you agree hours, duties and pay directly with the family, and we check in once you have started.

Introductions

When a role suits you, we ask you first. Always. Your profile goes to the family with your first name, experience, availability and strengths. Never your full details, never your documents.

Verification

We will sight your Blue Card, First Aid and CPR, police check, licence and references. Nothing private is passed to a family without your say-so.

A conversation

If we think we can place you well, we will get in touch for a proper chat. The kind of role and family you are after, what you are great at, and just as importantly, what you would rather avoid.

Apply

Fill in the application form: your experience, qualifications, availability, the areas you can reach and the rate you are looking for. It takes about ten minutes.

The Process

How it works

You will never pay us a cent.

ByMeg is paid by the families we place with. Never by the carers we place. No registration fee, no placement fee, and no commission taken out of your pay.

  • No. Not now, not ever. ByMeg is paid by families, and nothing is deducted from your pay.

  • The family, directly. ByMeg introduces, coordinates and supports, but your hours, duties and pay are agreed between you and them.

  • The Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Brisbane. If you are just outside, apply anyway and tell us how far you would travel.

  • Not to apply. Current or in progress is fine. You will need it before any placement is confirmed, so it is worth starting early if you have not.
